Both of the new Liebherr-constructed, super post-Panamax gantry cranes are now erect, with the “A frames” set to be hoisted into position during the weekend of 31st July. Further works and testing will then ensue, prior to the cranes being moved onto the rails on TCS’ Riverside berths. This is presently envisaged to take place during week 34.
The second part of the project is to complete the refurbishment of TCS’ Panamax gantry cranes. This will move into the final stages in mid-August when the last remaining Panamax cranes on the Riverside Lower Berth will be moved to Berth 39 (inside the lock gates).
