TCS is pleased to announce that it has secured a new service at the terminal.
With effect from 11th July, CMA-CGM’s FEMEX (French Europe Med Express) trade will call at Tilbury on a weekly (Sunday) basis, providing direct connections between TCS and a number of ports in Turkey, Greece and Portugal, as well as opening up transshipment opportunities to/from the Far East, West Africa and other parts of the World via Malta and Tangiers in Morocco. The service is operated by six CMA-CGM vessels, each with nominal capacity for approximately 1700 teus and 300 reefer plug-in points.
It has been TCS’ aim to secure a greater share of the trade to/from the Eastern Mediterranean and the arrival of FEMEX is, therefore, a welcome development. There has been considerable growth from both Greece and in particular Turkey in recent years, with a high potential for future development, including in the reefer segment. We very much hope that we will see this service establish itself and grow here at Tilbury.
