Tilbury Container Services Ltd is committed to providing a safe workplace for its employees, contractors, stakeholders and visitors.

To this end TCS have established controls and procedures to manage health and safety onsite.

  1. An established quarterly Health and Safety meeting chaired by the Managing Director to discuss and analyse TCS health and safety performance.

    Study of Accident, COSHH, H&S log book entries, Training, Changes to procedure, New Legislation, Safety Audits, Risk Assessments and Fatal Risk Standards.
  2. Adoption of the DP World Fatal Risk Standards as a minimum requirement for safety onsite. (Working at Height, Mobile Equipment, Pedestrian Safety, Handling Loads, Isolation, Engineering Safety and Vessel Safety).
  3. The appointment of Champions for each of the Fatal Risk Standards to oversee the Implementation process.
  4. The adoption of the ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method) methodology.

    To investigate safety critical incidents.
  5. The introduction of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly safety observations and audit processes.
  6. TCS complies with OHSAS 18001-2007 Occupational Health & Safety Standard since 2008.
